Uno.

Presa didn't know how long it had been... She woke up without any clue as to who she was or where she was... Just how did she get all of these injuries? She just remembered waking up in a hospital with frantic nurses and doctors rushing to her aid. Just how long had she been out of it? They kept stressing that she was lucky to be alive, but it was hard to really appreciate it when you had no idea how you landed in the hospital to begin with... Especially when you couldn't even remember your own name.

No matter how many times they asked her if she remembered anything, everything was just.... a blur. It was a little frustrating to wake up with no memories when everyone else seemed to know you. She'd seen a few disappointed sad faces and she did feel bad, but how was she supposed to know what everyone's names were? The doctors had told her that her name was "Jill", but even if it was, the name seemed so... well... foreign to her.

Time passed and she was discharged from the hospital. She was still left with more questions than answers, but she doubted that anyone at the hospital would be much more help to her than they already had been. She should have been dead, or so she was told. There was nothing more to do than to just... move on to the best of her abilities while in search of her past.

Did she have any family? Any siblings or parents waiting for her? In Rieze Maxia, it was possible that at 24-25 years old, that her parents had already passed away. It would make sense. In the few months (maybe longer than usual, but they had all been good to her) she spent in that hospital while trying to get back on her feet, she hadn't recalled ever seeing her parents or her family come and visit her; Than again, she was also suffering from amnesia, so it was possible she simple forgot. What about her friends...? Did she have any and if so how many? Did she have a job? Well, probably not anymore after being gone for so long.

She decided it was best to try to find a new job that she actually remembered. Finding herself in Marksburg after finding about the Schism some time before, she felt maybe this was the best location to sort of settle down at for now? It seemed plenty busy. A few memories came back, but nothing too important. Just little things about how to use her Artes and all of the simple details about Rieze Maxia.

She had been fortunate throughout these trying times. The hospital had done what they could to get her back on her feet until she decided that she wanted to walk for herself.... And an inn keeper allowed her to stay in one of the vacant rooms with the stipulation that she would be working to at least pay for as much as she could. Months went by and while it wasn't exactly the best job she could find, working as a secretary kept her busy; Though she couldn't say that she could really afford anything extravagant with her salary. It wasn't a bad life though. She may not have remembered much about her life before she had apparently fallen from a high distance, but she eventually made a few friends and found herself burying herself in books when she had free time.

Occasionally she'd have strange dreams though. About some strange events that had happened as if she was apart of them. She always passed them off as "just another dream". Dreams were usually never really what they seemed and had their own meaning for everything. She had thought about inquiring about them, but in the end they were simply dreams and nothing more. Jill was living a fairly decent life for what she could manage, at the very least.

It was just another day. She was just getting off work and going to get a bite to eat. There really wasn't anything to note. Nothing new... Nothing interesting... No new memories where jumping out at her. She was just... going through a daily routine. From a short distance, she heard some meowing from the side. Looking to the source of the sound, she gave the small kitten a smile. It was quite an adorable creature, staring at her with it's big round eyes. She couldn't help herself from kneeling down to pet it gently.

"What's this? You seem lonely," she spoke softly to the small kitten.

Glancing down to see if there was a collar or some sort of sign that it belonged to someone, she didn't seem to see anything. Having such a small, frail creature all alone in a small box those... It didn't seem right. She couldn't help but drop that smile into a somewhat sad frown. "Are you all alone too? I know what it's like... to be lost and alone... Confused about the world around you...," she said softly as the kitten cuddled close to her. Could she really just leave the kitten to fend for itself. It's own mother didn't seem to be in sight... Something pulled at her heartstrings... Was it just how cute the kitten was, despite being outside on it's own for a while? Or something else? Something that reminded her of...

Letting out a sigh, "How about.... we keep each other company hm?" Maybe it was a mistake to take the kitten with her...? Would the inn be okay with her keeping the kitten? She had to at least try. There's no way she could walk on knowing how alone the kitten was... Picking the kitten up carefully, she held it in her arms gently, "How about we get some food?"
